WHO WE ARE
Go Play Sandwell provides free, valuable and high quality play experiences for the children and young people of Sandwell. Our play sessions and events take place at a variety of venues across the borough – look for us in green spaces, community centres, libraries and museums, indoors and outdoors all year round! Our inclusive services support and empower children (and their grownups) to access play within the local community, fostering self worth, confidence and emotional resilience.

PLAY
APPROACH
We believe in Playful Childhoods and Playful communities. By working with play specialists and providing plenty and varied ways to play in Sandwell supporting health and wellbeing and resilience. Playing is fun – and that’s important! Having fun, laughing and enjoying time with friends and family are all part of a happy childhood. Our sessions support children ages 6-12 (or up to 16 with SEND).

METHODOLOGY
To make sure Sandwell stays playful we promise to be;
- Play Facilitators: Delivering FREE play opportunities for children across Sandwell.
- Play Activators: Supporting creative and interesting opportunities and affordances for play across Sandwell spaces and communities.
- Play Champions: Advocating for Sandwell children’s right to play and have their voices heard.
- Play Educators: Sharing knowledge and ideas with children; delivery partners; parents and carers; communities and those with an interest in children’s rights.
- Play Drivers: Working internally and externally to shape policy and promote good practice at every level of decision making.
